Believe it or not, the club is actually organised! These are the guys responsible; they are all volunteers, elected/re-elected at the AGM. Any member of the club can apply to be on the committee. If you think you are up to it, please let us know – you will be most welcome!!

Julie Conboy
I was a late starter to tennis and took up playing in my early forties. I have met some lovely people at Kibworth Tennis Club and made some great friends.
The social side of tennis is as important to me as playing, so much so I gladly took up the role of Social Secretary and somehow managed up as Chairperson too!

Nigel Strevens
I have been a member at the club for 10 years, I am club treasurer and 3rd team captain. 3 boys, 1 wife, 1 cat, a never-ending house refurbishment project and a relentless day job mean I generally have to work in a very efficient manner.

Jonny Simpson
I have been a member at the club for nearly 20 years and enjoy playing for our 4th team (when selected!). When not running round the tennis court I try to keep fit by cycling - I am the original MAMIL!

Arron Kempster
A recent very welcome addition to the committee, representing the younger element of the club. Arron has also just taken over the role of Membership Secretary.

Jan Phillips
Before joining KTC I had only ever played ‘park’ tennis. I joined the club in 2009 with the encouragement of my husband who was playing frequently, as was my teenage son. I enjoyed the camaraderie both on an off the court (and still do) and discovered that I was competitive if not talented. I am a born organiser and it was this, not my tennis ability, which lead to my being asked to be Ladies Captain, a role I have undertaken since 2013..

Paul Battersby
I have been a member of Kibworth Tennis Club for over 20 years and my role as Men‘s Team Captain is to oversee the Teams and support each of the Captains. My role also involves encouraging our younger players to get involved in the Men’s teams and it is really pleasing to see how enthusiastic and competitive they all are in the matches and on the Wednesday night training sessions. I do enjoy both Social and Competitive Tennis and I continue to be involved with the Club’s Development Plans.

Julia Fox
I was encouraged by friends to join a coaching group in my late thirties, having never played tennis before and I’m so glad I did! During the time I’ve been a member at Kibworth, I’ve played tennis socially and competitively and have made some lovely friends along the way. I’ve been involved in Club Development in my own village and have enjoyed helping “make a difference” which has led me to join the committee at Kibworth. I’m now involved with the Club Development at Kibworth which I’m very passionate & enthusiastic about.

Darren Handy
I started playing tennis regularly in 2011. I am the Club Match Secretary and 4th team captain.
I passed a Level 1 Tennis Coaching Course in 2017.
As well as tennis I enjoy other sports, particularly football, and I am a season ticket holder at Leicester City.

Paul Bradfield
I have been the Head Coach at Kibworth Tennis Club since 2001 and have been a member at the club for over 25 years regularly playing for the men’s and mixed doubles teams. Tennis has always been a big part of my life, but I am also a fan of other sports particularly football.
